Tales from the Zones

BUCKLE YOUR BOOTS AND STRAP ON THAT MASK! THE SUN'S A-SCORCHING, THE DRACS ARE CLOSING IN, AND THE REVOLUTION WON'T START ITSELF!

Danger Days is a story of post-apocalyptic California that first appeared on a My Chemical Romance record in 2010, and was soon expanded upon within a series of comics published by Dark Horse. It inspired many young artists to explore their own creativity and come together to add hundreds of new characters, locations and legends to the existing canon.

The Killjoy universe revolves around those who escape the oppressive Battery City - a metropolis where art and identity are outlawed, and Better Living Industries observes residents' every move. Rebels, identifying as Killjoys, flee to the Zones, an expanse of lawless desert filled with colourful punks, found families, laser blasters, and spirits of all kinds.

Tales from the Zones is a 100 page comics anthology celebrating the boundless creativity of Danger Days fans. It collects 34 short comics from talented creatives across the world, exploring themes of community, the day-to-day lives of the iconic Fabulous Killjoys, and the folklore of a desert where the lines between life and death are intricately blurred.

Letters for the Dead is a 30 page anthology zine of stories, letters and poems exploring the concept of loss in the Zones. This zine acts as a companion to Tales from the Zones, further exploring the possibilities of the Killjoys universe.

100% of profit raised by the Tales from the Zones project will be donated to the Black Trans Advocacy Coalition. Through their national advocacy center and affiliate state chapters, the Black Trans Advocacy Coalition advocate to end poverty, discrimiation in all forms and human inequities faced in health, employment, housing and education that are rooted in systemic racism, to improve the lived experience of transgender people. Their work is based in peace building, community education, public policy initiatives, empowerment programs and direct services.
